With passion for 30 years
From humble beginnings to a valued place on the map of Szczecin
The official opening of the permanent school youth hostel at Monte Cassino Street in Szczecin took place on October 20, 1993. It was organized by the Board of the Provincial Branch of the Polish Youth Hostel Association to mark the 750th anniversary of granting city rights to Szczecin. The permanent hostel had previously operated in modest conditions at School No. 50 on Unisławy Street. It was moved to the building at Monte Cassino Street, which had previously housed the boarding school of the Vocational Secondary School No. 1. As emphasized by the president of the Provincial Branch of PTSM, Mr. Edmund Pal, the Szczecin tourism community had been expecting a proper permanent hostel since 1960.
